Careers360: Many congratulations on this exceptional achievement of scoring 720 marks in the NEET exam securing AIR 1. What is your and your family members' reaction?
Palansha: Feeling very elated about this exceptional achievement. My family is over the moon right now.
Careers360: Tell us something about yourself. And also tell us about your schooling background.
Palansha: I am originally from Agra, UP, but I was brought up in Mumbai. Currently, I’m staying in Mumbai. I completed my class 10 from DAV Public School, Aeroli. And I passed my class 12 from Jaipuriar school. I completed my class 12 this year and scored 97.2% marks.
Careers360: Can you take us through your daily schedule during your NEET preparation days?
Palansha: I used to wake up at 3:30 and study up till 6:30. Then I used to go to school and return to school by 3 PM. Then from 4 PM to 9 PM, I used to study with regular small break intervals.
Careers360: Did you take coaching from any institute?
Palansha: Yes I took coaching from the Aakash Institute. It was an integrated programme, where I used to do coaching along with my schooling.
Careers360: Was there any particular subject, in which you faced challenges? If yes, how did you overcome that challenge?
Palansha: Yes in class 11, I used to face problems with Physics a lot. So I used to practice a lot until I got a good command of it. But due to all of my focus on Physics, my command over Chemistry got bad. I did the same thing for Chemistry too. Eventually, I overcame the challenges in Physics and Chemistry with regular study and practising the NEET NCERT syllabus.
Careers360: What do your parents do? And how big a role did they play in your NEET preparation journey?
Palansha: My father is an Engineer in Reliance Industries and my mother is a school teacher. Whenever I used to score less on my mock test, I used to cry about it. But both of my parents were like my emotional friends and always kept motivating me throughout my NEET journey.
Careers360: What do you use to do in your free time during NEET preparation?
Palansha: I used to mostly spend time with my family and watch web series of different genres.
