About FMGE 2026
FMGE - Foreign Medical Graduate Examination is a screening test for medical graduates to be eligible to practice medicine in the country. FMGE exam is conducted biannually in June and December. The FMGE June 2026 exam will be conducted on June 28, 2026 in online mode.
The National Board of Examinations will conduct the FMGE exam 2026 for Indian and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) to obtain the registration certificate from the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council (SMC). As per the FMGE exam pattern, the test is divided into two parts - Part A and Part B. Each part has 150 questions, making a total of 300 questions. The questions in the FMGE exam are asked from the MBBS curriculum. As per the marking scheme, one mark is awarded for every correct answer, while there is no negative marking.
