Aspirants who secure equal to or more than the qualifying percentile are considered eligible for admission to MDS courses. To qualify for the NEET MDS 2025 exam, candidates belonging to the general category must secure at least the 50th percentile, while the 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC aspirants.

On the other hand, the NEET MDS cutoff marks are the minimum marks which a candidate must score in order to qualify the exam. The NEET MDS cutoff 2025 scores for the General category is 261, for the General-Pwd category candidates is 244 and SC/ST/OBC (including Pwd) is 227.

In case the marks of two or more candidates are equal, then the authority uses the following inter-se merit process to determine the merit position:

• Number of correct responses: Aspirants with more correct responses in the test are placed at a higher rank
• Date of birth: If the first tie-breaker fails, then the age of the candidates is considered. Students older in age are allotted better ranks in the merit list

NEET MDS counselling 2025

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the counselling for admission to 50% All India Quota seats, deemed and central universities/colleges. In order to be eligible for counselling, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying NEET MDS 2025 cut off as prescribed by NBE.

To participate in NEET MDS counselling, aspirants have to register themselves online by entering the required details. During the registration process, they have to fill out their preferences of colleges as well as courses. On the basis of these preferences, NEET MDS rank and availability of seats, the seat allotment process is done. Once admission is granted, candidates must report to the allotted college for verification of documents and completion of the admission procedure.
