If two or more candidates secure the same rank in the NEET UG Odisha state merit list 2026, the authorities use a unique tie-breaking method. The tie-breaking method to be followed by the authorities is given below.
Students with higher marks in Biology are given priority.
If the tie continues, then the aspirants with the higher marks in chemistry are considered first.
If the tie remains, then the candidates with the less negative marks are considered first.
If it further persists, the candidate with the older age secures a higher rank.

The OJEE cell conducts the Odisha MBBS counselling 2026 in online mode. The authority conducts three rounds of counselling. If the seats remain vacant after the three rounds, an additional stray vacancy round is also conducted. Candidates have to log in to their portals and fill in their choices of courses and colleges.
