NEET MDS 2025 results: Cutoff

NBE releases the cutoff of NEET MDS 2025 percentile for each category. NEET MDS cutoff is the minimum qualifying percentile which must be secured to pass the entrance exam. NEET MDS qualifying percentile for general/EWS category is 50th percentile, while for SC/ST/OBC, it is 40th percentile. How to calculate NEET MDS 2025 result?

In the NEET MDS exam, candidates are required to attempt 240 objective questions. The maximum marks as mentioned in the NEET MDS result are 960 marks. As per the exam pattern of NEET MDS, there will be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. The marking scheme used for NEET MDS result is as follows.

Based on the above marking scheme the total score of candidates is calculated and are mentioned in the NEET MDS 2025 result. The formula for calculating NEET MDS score is:

Based on the marks scored by the candidates in NEET MDS result 2025, the percentile for each candidate is calculated. The NEET MDS 2025 result includes the percentile score of each candidate. Only those who score equal to and above the minimum NEET MDS cutoff percentile qualify for the entrance test. It must be noted that the percentage and percentile of NEET MDS 2025 are completely different.

In the case of two candidates having the same NEET MDS score, the rank or merit position is decided based on the four criteria discussed below.

1. Incorrect responses: Candidates with less number of questions answered wrong are placed higher in the NEET MDS 2025 merit list.

2. Higher score: A candidate who scores better marks in part B of the exam is awarded a higher rank in NEET MDS result 2025.

3. Wrong answers in part B: Candidate who manages to get less wrong answers in part B of the NEET MDS question paper gets a higher rank.

4. Age: Candidates older in age are placed higher in the NEET MDS 2025 rank list.

After declaring the NEET MDS 2025 result and scorecard, the role of NBE in the process ends. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the MCC conducts the NEET MDS counselling. NEET MDS-qualified candidates are required to register themselves on MCC's official website to participate in the counselling process. Candidates have to fill in their preference of colleges and courses. Seats are allotted on the basis of NEET MDS 2025 result, merit position, reservation and other criteria.
