IPU NEET Merit List 2026 - Eligibility

Only candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria are included in the IPU NEET 2026 merit list. Qualifying for the NEET exam is a mandatory requirement for admission. To qualify for NEET, candidates have to secure the NEET cutoff. Check the previous year's category-wise cutoff of NEET UG below.

IPU NEET Merit List 2026 - Tie-breaking criteria

In case two or more candidates score the same marks in the NEET exam, the authority will apply the rule to resolve ties and prepare the IPU MBBS 2026 merit list.

• Criteria 1: Candidates with more marks in class 12 Biology will be ranked higher in the merit list of IPU MBBS 2026.

• Criteria 2: After applying criteria 1, if the tie still persists, students with higher marks in Chemistry in class 12 will be placed higher in the merit list.

• Criteria 3: Candidates with less number of incorrect answers will be placed at a higher position on the IPU MBBS merit list.

• Criteria 4: At last, candidates older in age will be placed higher on the merit list.

What after the IPU NEET merit list 2026?

Candidates included in the merit list of IPU NEET 2026 will be called for counselling. GGSIPU will conduct the IPU MBBS counselling in an online mode. During counselling, students will be asked to submit their preferences for courses and colleges. Based on the choices submitted by students, NEET rank, reservation, and other factors, the authority will allot MBBS/BDS seats. Candidates allotted seats during IPU MBBS counselling 2026 will have to report to the allotted institute for admission.
