Once the correction window is opened, candidates can change the following fields in their NEET application form 2026. Check the details that can be changed here.
Personal Details: Father’s and Mother’s names along with the qualification or occupation can be changed. However, it is limited to one change out of two fields.
Educational Qualifications: Changes in marksheet, certificate related to board name, year of passing, and roll numbers for Class 10, and 12 is allowed.
Category & Sub-Category/PwD: Changes in category status can be done. Reserved candidates need to upload the valid category certificate issued by the competent authority.
Exam City and Medium: Candidates can change the NEET 2026 exam cities and the medium of the exam question paper.
Signature: The authority allows candidates to re-upload signatures with the correct size and format.
There are certain fields in the application form of NEET 2026 which cannot be corrected under any circumstances.
Registered Contact number or email: Changes in registered mobile number or email ID will not be allowed.
Permanent Identity: The identity proofs such as Aadhaar Number or other submitted document cannot be edited
Biometric Data: Candidates cannot edit fingerprints and thumb impressions during the process.
Captured Live Photograph: The live photo capture feature which has been introduced this year cannot be changed.

Log in using the NEET 2026 application number and password
Click on the link provided for "Correction in NEET Application Form 2026".
To proceed, enter the OTP sent to the registered mobile number and email ID.
Edit details in the permissible fields.
Carefully review the modified changes and click on "Final Submit"
After successful submission, download and print the NEET 2026 correction slip
No, candidates will not be allowed to make changes in the fingerprint and thumb impressions in the NEET 2026 correction window. Along with fingerprints, other specific fields that cannot be changed are mobile number, Aadhaar number or email ID. In the non-editable fields, NTA does not allow candidates to make corrections or any change in the NEET biometric data which include fingerprints and thumb impressions and live photograph as these documents are aimed to prevent impersonation during the examination.
