NEET Exam Pattern 2025 Changed By NTA- Check Latest Updates
The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the NEET exam pattern. NTA has changed the exam pattern of NEET 2025 exam. As per the NEET 2025 exam pattern, 180 questions will be asked for a duration of 3 hours. Earlier, the NEET paper was divided into two sections: Section A and B. Section A contains 35 questions, while Section B contains 15 questions, out of which only 10 questions needed to be answered. As per the new NEET exam pattern 2025, section B has been discontinued.

NEET 2025 exam changes - Latest update
NTA has released a notice on January 25, 2025 regarding the exam pattern of NEET 2025. As per the NTAs notice, section B from NEET paper has been removed. The authority has also reduced the exam timing from earlier 3 hours 20 minutes to 3 hours.

Will NEET exam pattern change for 2025?
Yes! NTA has changed the exam pattern of NEET 2025. As per the NEET 2025 latest news, the major change in the NEET exam pattern 2025 is the removal of the optional selection of questions from section B of the NEET question paper.
NTA introduced the optional choice in section B during the COVID-19 pandemic due to which candidates have the option to answer any 10 questions out of 15 questions from section B. NTA in its public notice for the revised JEE main exam pattern 2025 has mentioned that since the COVID-19 pandemic is over now, hence it has decided to discontinue the optional selection of questions and this change has been made in the NEET 2025 exam pattern too.

NEET exam pattern 2025
NEET 2025 question paper will contain 180 multiple-choice questions carrying 4 marks each. The question paper of NEET 2025 comprises the questions from class 11 and 12 syllabi from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects.
NEET question paper is provided in 13 languages - English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Candidates can choose the question paper language of NEET 2025 while filling out the NEET 2025 application form. Candidates must note that the choice of the regional language depends upon the location of the NEET exam centre.
NEET exam pattern 2025 change: Marking scheme
Candidates can go through the marking scheme NEET 2025 to understand how the marks will be allotted by the authorities after the conclusion of the exam.
For each correct answer in NEET, 4 marks are given and one mark is deducted for each wrong attempt.
If any question is not attempted, there is no negative marking in NEET as per the exam pattern.
Answers once marked in the NEET OMR sheet cannot be changed.
Marking more than one option will cause a negative marking.
