FMGE is held twice a year in June and December and aims to test the medical knowledge and clinical skills of foreign medical graduates. The exam consists of two parts:
Part A – 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) on basic medical sciences.
Part B – 150 MCQs on clinical subjects and practical knowledge.

To pass the FMGE, candidates must secure at least 150 marks out of 300, which accounts for a 50% passing score. The FMGE result is declared by the authority in the form of a scorecard. Based on the result declared by the NBE, the FMGE pass percentage is released country-wise for each year. However, despite only a 50% passing score, the pass rates often vary across candidates who have studied in different countries. Various factors like curriculum, language, teaching quality, and clinical exposure impact these rates.

Considering both the June and December session, the country wise pass percentage data will be released by the authority and will be provided here. Meanwhile, candidates can check previous year's FMGE country-wise pass percentage from the table below.
