The main reason behind the reduction of NEET PG 2025 cutoff is to avoid the wastage of PG medical seats. Many seats often remain vacant after the completion of round 1 and round 2 counselling of MCC and respective state authorities. This is because most of the top branches and colleges get filled in round 1 and round 2 counselling, and many students skip the counselling and appear for the exam next year to target their desired college and branch.
Due to this, many seats remain unfilled and also due to less participation of the candidates from round 1 and round 2, NMC reduces the cutoff percentile. This NEET PG 2025 revised cut off makes such candidates eligible for the counselling, who were previously not eligible for the NEET PG counselling.
The NBEMS has declared the reduced NEET PG cutoff 2025 at the official website, natboard.edu.in. After the declaration of NEET PG cutoff reduction, the MCC will release the NEET PG 2025 Counselling Round 3 Schedule. Following MCC, the respective state counselling authorities will also then declare their counselling schedules for round 3.
