The MCC has released the list of the joined candidates till round 3 of NEET PG counselling 2024 after the Supreme Court of India dismissed the plea for the fresh conduct of NEET PG round 3 counselling on February 7, 2025. Earlier, the Supreme Court of India had issued a notice to MCC to conduct fresh NEET PG round 3 counselling on February 5, 2025. With this, the NEET PG round 3 counselling will not be cancelled now and no fresh NEET PG round 3 counselling will be conducted.

As per the latest updates, the Supreme Court of India, on February 7, 2025 dismissed the plea for the cancellation of NEET PG round 3 admission. The NEET PG round 3 counselling will not be conducted again now.
Earlier on February 5, 2025, SCI issued a notice to the MCC for the fresh conduct of NEET PG round 3 counselling. This decision came after a petition was filed by the students raising the issues of seat blocking in the round 2 counselling of several states. As per the filed petition, the round 3 counselling of NEET PG was compromised as it started before the completion of several states' round 2 counselling sessions, particularly Madhya Pradesh. Due to this, many candidates blocked the NEET PG AIQ seats while still getting better seats at the state level.

1. Eligibility for round 3 counselling of NEET PG
Candidates who have registered for NEET PG 2024 counselling but were not allotted a seat in Round 1 or Round 2 are eligible.
Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 or Round 2 but did not report to the allotted college or resigned from the seat are also eligible.
2. Seat matrix for NEET PG round 3
The seats available in Round 3 include those that remained vacant after Round 2, as well as seats surrendered by candidates who resigned or upgraded.
3. Upgradation option
Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 or Round 2 can opt for upgradation in Round 3. If a candidate is allotted a better seat in Round 3, they must accept it and resign from the previously allotted seat.
4. No free exit
Unlike Round 1, there is no "free exit" option in Round 3 and candidates need to follow the NEET PG exit forfeiture. Candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 3 must accept it or forfeit their candidature for further rounds.

The counselling process for NEET PG round 3 follows several steps that are mentioned below.
Candidates who registered in Round 1 or Round 2 do not need to register again. They can log in to the MCC portal using their existing credentials.
Candidates must fill in their preferences (choices) for colleges and courses during the choice-filling period.
The MCC conducts the seat allotment process based on the candidate's NEET PG merit list, choices filled, and seat availability.
The result of the NEET PG round 3 seat allotment is then published on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in
Candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 3 must download the provisional seat allotment letter from the MCC portal.
Candidates must report to the allotted college within the specified dates with all required documents, including the provisional seat allotment letter, NEET PG 2024 scorecard, and identity proof.
Payment of the tuition fee and completion of admission formalities are mandatory.
Candidates who opt for upgradation and are allotted a better seat must resign from the previously allotted seat before accepting the new one.
